Mediation Rules
Mediation before the CAIP is governed by the CAIP Mediation Rules in force on the day of receipt of the request for mediation by the CAIP.
The current CAIP Mediation Rules are those in force as of 1st June 2024.

Model Clauses
Parties wishing to mediate are advised to insert one of the clauses below in their contracts:
Mediation
All disputes arising out of or in connection with the present contract shall be settled by mediation under the rules of the CAIP – PARIS INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CHAMBER (6, avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie – 75116 Paris ; www.arbitrage.org), which the parties hereby declare to know and accept.
Mediation & Arbitration
All disputes arising out of or in connection with the present contract shall be settled by mediation under the rules of the CAIP – PARIS INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CHAMBER (6, avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie – 75116 Paris ; www.arbitrage.org), which the parties hereby declare to know and accept.
If mediation fails, the dispute shall be finally settled by arbitration under the rules of the same chamber, which the parties hereby declare to also know and accept.
Mediators
Parties may appoint as mediator any person from the CAIP roster of mediators or any other person they deem fit to act as such:

Fees
The mediation fees, comprising the administrative fees and the mediator’s fees, are calculated on the basis of the amount in dispute.
The advance on mediation fees covers 10 hours of mediation.
The parties bear the mediation fees in equal shares.
